Spa Hardness Increaser raises the calcium hardness in spa water. Calcium hardness measures the amount of dissolved calcium and magnesium. Low levels can make water difficult to balance and may cause grout loss in tiled spas. High levels are generally not a concern if pH and alkalinity are within recommended ranges, but readings should ideally stay below 750 mg/l (ppm).

Instructions:

• Test calcium hardness using a kit or test strips.
• Correct levels if below 175 mg/l (acrylic spas) or 250 mg/l (tiled spas).
• Dose: 10g per 1,000 litres (220 gallons) of spa water, raising hardness by ~10 mg/l per dose.
• Do not add more than 100g at once to avoid cloudiness.
• With the circulation system running, sprinkle directly around the spa perimeter.
• Do not pre-dissolve (may generate excessive heat).
• Use only when bathing has stopped and avoid the skimmer area.
• Bathing can resume once fully dissolved.
